Powered by 6 AA batteries (with low battery indication) or AC adapter (adapter is included with the scale). Weighing modes include grams, ounces, grains, troy ounces, pennyweight, carats, and pounds. Digital Auto Calibration is supported but requires a 5kg calibration weight.
